  • Do you have memberships in any national or state associations?
  • How long will it take you to do the inspection?
  • How much do you charge?
  • When can I expect to receive the inspection report from you?
  • Can I be present when you are doing the inspection?

Making sure to ask these questions will help you choose the right inspector for the job. If the inspector will not allow you to be present while he is doing the inspection, be sure to ask why. This is generally a red flag that something is wrong, so you will likely want to go on to the next provider.
